The firm Messrs AMELDA FUAD ABI & AIDIL was set up following the merger of two established law firms, namely Messrs Amelda & Partners and Messrs Fuad Abi & Aidil. 

The firm Amelda & Partners was established more than 20 years ago, when it was set up in August 1992, and was previously known as Abdul Razak Kassim & Zawawi. Later in 1999, the name of the firm was changed to Mohd Zawawi Amelda & Partners. The firm officially became Amelda & Partners to reflect the composition of the partnership beginning 1st April 2004 onwards, comprising of two partners, both of whom are senior practitioners within the legal fraternity, namely Dato’ Seri Dr. Omar bin Hj. Othman and Dato’ Amelda Md Din. 

The firm Fuad Abi & Aidil was set up in the year 2013. It was formerly known as Fuad Hasim & Co, before changing its name to Fuad Abi & Aidil in May 2014 to reflect the composition of the partnership comprising of five budding lawyers, namely Ahmad Fuad Hasim, Abi Mursyidin Awal, Aidil Khalid, Ahmad Zulfadli Ibrahim and Muhammad Hisyam Abdullah. 

The merger between the two firms was undertaken with the conscious hope of combining the strengths of each individual partners as well as emphasising seamless integration between the importance of arduous experience (that could only be achieved through age and tireless hard work) on the one hand; and the zest and creativity of youthful qualities on the other – with the vision of providing creative and pragmatic solutions in addressing our clients’ challenging legal needs.
